- The Aggie Core Values Award recognizes graduate and professional students who exemplify the Aggie Spirit by consistently displaying the characteristics and qualities of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service.
- One deserving winner will be awarded a fixed dollar amount (details forthcoming) scholarship to be applied towards the purchase of an Aggie Ring. An AFS representative will present the recipient with a beautiful plaque certifying their receipt of the 2024 ACV Award, and be recognized at the Graduate and Professional Student Government's annual end-of-year banquet celebration. - The Guseman Award recognizes graduate and professional students for their outstanding contributions to the success and prosperity of the Graduate and Professional Student Government and the Graduate and Professional Student Body of the Texas A&M University. Lawrence Guseman was a mathematics faculty member from 1967 until his death in 1991 and a former Dean of Graduate Studies.
- The nominator must provide a brief, clearly written statement indicating why the achievement is deserving of an award, not to exceed 600 words. The award's criteria include evidence of scholarly accomplishment beyond the completion of course work for the degree, including: Demonstration of excellence in completing thesis, seminar paper, or other culminating project; superior performance on comprehensive examinations; demonstration of excellence in academic or professional internship or practicum; involvement in research and other scholarly pursuits; and demonstration of leadership in the graduate program.
