Nominators must be an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student enrolled at least part-time Texas A&M – College Station, the School of Law in Fort Worth, or the Health Science Center. Texas A&M faculty and staff are also eligible to nominate a candidate.
Awards
GPSG provides three opportunities to recognize both graduate and professional students and Texas A&M faculty and staff members for their contributions to the graduate community. All award recipients are recognized at the GPSG End of Year Banquet.

Student Award
The Aggie Core Values Award
Generously sponsored by the Association of Former Students (AFS) and their respective donors, the Aggie Core Values (ACV) Award recognizes a Texas A&M graduate or professional student that exemplifies the Aggie Spirit by “consistently displaying the characteristics that are the Aggie core values.” The qualities of Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect, and Selfless Service are what it means to be a Texas Fightin’ Aggie. One deserving winner will be awarded a fixed dollar amount (details forthcoming) scholarship to be applied towards the purchase of an Aggie Ring. An AFS representative will present the recipient with a beautiful plaque certifying their receipt of this year’s ACV Award.

Student Award
The Guseman Award
Dr. Lawrence Guseman was a mathematics faculty member from 1967 until his death in 1991 and a former Dean of Graduate Studies. In his honor, the Guseman Award is an annual achievement award that recognizes a graduate or professional student member of Texas A&M University that has made outstanding contributions to the success, prosperity, and welfare of a graduate student or group of graduate students.
Nominees must be a graduate, or professional student enrolled at least part-time Texas A&M – College Station, the School of Law in Fort Worth, or the Health Science Center.
Faculty or Staff Award
The Kunze Award
Dr. George W. Kunze was a former Dean of Graduate Studies. In honor of his contributions to graduate and professional students, the Kunze Award is an annual achievement award that recognizes a faculty or staff member of Texas A&M University who has made outstanding contributions to the success, prosperity, and welfare of a graduate student or group of graduate students.
Nominees must be a faculty or staff member employed by Texas A&M University.
